After Jim Leach put Sen. Chuck Hagel’s name out there as a potential running mate for Barack Obama, Hagel’s office put out a statement which said that he is not endorsing McCain or Obama. What is most telling though is the announcement that Hagel is not going to attend the late summer funeral known as the Republican convention.
